
A Stanford graduate has recently developed this technology, called the Intel Reader, for the dyslexic and visually impaired readers. This will allow them to scan entire pages of text and convert them into audio files, so that it can play it back immediately afterwards.
This device, which comes in a book size, can be able to capture text from sources like restaurant menus, newspapers and academic journals. These scanned texts can then be magnified and read on this same device. You can then listen to it through its onboard speakers and headphones. You can also convert and export is as an MP3 file.
