Remember last year’s super green cloud computer? Well, the same guys who made it are now coming out with a $99 netbook called the “Africa.”
Some people might, of course, question the performance of this netbook since it comes in too cheap compared with other netbook out in the market. But case in point, the Africa is actually quite heavy performance wise. It got a 400MHz processor, 256MB RAM and a 2GB flash memory. It runs on a 7-inch screen (800 x 480), USB 1.1, 2.0 ports and SD card support. It runs on either Linux or Windows CE operating systems.
It can last up to four hours with its Lithium battery. Although these specifications might not exactly excite you, a $99 netbook from Cherrypal is not exactly bad for the pocket.
