Kodak has released the latest in its series of consumer digital cameras. The Kodak Slice Touchscreen Camera lets you carry a personal photo album that you can share and relive all the time. It has a 3.5-inch sleek and touch-capable display screen, Kodak Slice Search feature and an internal memory that can hold up to 5,000 photos.

I just bought an Olympus digital camera the other day, and I must say that I got pretty bummed when I found out that Samsung has just released their new Samsung ST5000. It’s simply one of the most innovative and advanced digital cameras I have seen in years.

This device got a 14MP sensor with a maximum resolution of 4344 x 3256, built-in flash, external flash and optical zoom. More, it has auto focus and digital focus. It can also record video with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720 at 30fps. Then, there’s of course the 3.5-inch LCD display, USB 2.0 port and shooting modes—cloudy, daylight, fluorescent, manual and tungsten.

I always have fun playing “model”  with my dog where I would act as his “official photographer,”  taking pictures of his everyday life. However, when you’re struggling with a point-and-shoot camera like I do, there might really be some difficulty with finding the perfect shot.

Thankfully, there’s this Fujifilm Finepix Z700 now that offers the very first pet detection feature for digital cameras. This device has 12MP sensor, and boasts of its pet detection mode. However, we must be wary that there’s still some needed tweaking for this feature. Some comments said that the camera has trouble with moving animals.

Pentax X90 Has 26x Optical Zoom

If you’re looking for the perfect dSLR, this one’s for you. The Pentax X90, for starters, has 26x optical zoomer, which just about beats the X70 to dust.

It also got a 12.1-megapixel sensor and 25mm wide angle to 676mm suoer telephoto lens. It has about 2.7-inch LCD screen display and it shoots HD video, although there’s no word on just how clear the video would look like.

More, this device has face detection, triple shake reduction, anti-shake, an electronic viewfinder, Eye-Fi compatibility and HDMI interface with USB 2.0 port.

And compared with the X70, the battery life of this Pentax X90 is comparatively longer.

Pentax hasn’t announced yet when this camera will come…
