
The one thing that the Vphoen from Saygus is boasting about is its ability to make video calls through the EDGE network.
Saygus CEO Chad Sayers told WIRED that they developed a proprietary video algorithm for this CDMA handset, which will allow them to transfer video data at 18-22 frames per second over EDGE and up to 30fps over 3G. He added that it will only take 5GB of bandwith for over 10,000 minutes of conferencing.
The Vphone also boasts of its Marvell PXA 310 624MHz processor, Android operating system, 512MB flash memory, 256MB of SDRAM, mass storage of up to 16GB SDHC, 3.5-inch capacitive touch-sensitive screen, 800×480 resolution, CDMA network, slide-out…
