Are you looking for the best phones under 15000 rupees in India?

Let’s face it…

Smartphones have improved a lot in the past couple of years. And, I know it’s really difficult to choose a mobile phone under 15000 which fits your needs. But, here at GadgetArmy, we have checked more than 1000+ phones so that you can choose the best phone in the price range of under 15000 rupees which are available in India.

All the phones in the list have a decent display and support 4G VoLTE. Moreover, they have the latest processor, enough RAM, and a good quality camera to fulfil all your needs in the price range of under 15000 available in India.

I have covered a few big battery phones also. If you are a heavy user and love to play a lot of games, then this list is a gold mine for you. Check out the complete list to find out the phone having the best battery life in this price segment. And also don’t forget to check our best pick mentioned at the end of the article. But to know why we choose that phone in our best pick you need to read the whole article.

So, let’s have a detailed look at all the smartphones:

Xiaomi Mi A1

  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 128 GB
  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display 1080p
  • 12 MP Primary Camera | 5 MP Front Camera
  • 3080 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device

The Xiaomi Mi is the best selling phone so far from Xiaomi. The specialty of this phone is that it runs on the Android One as Xiaomi tied up with Google for this project. Also, they claim it to be a camera-centric phone which can pretty much compete with all the flagships out there like the iPhone 7, and the Oneplus 5T.

Having a 5.5 inch full HD display out of the box the viewing angles and the screen brightness on this device is amazing. The build quality is top notch as the phone has a metal unibody and you can easily hold it in one hand.

The device looks similar to the Oneplus 5T and gives a premium look. Having Snapdragon 625 and 4GB RAM, it can pretty much handle any games without noticeable lag. Even after intensive gaming the phone didn’t heat much and touched only 40 degrees which are quite normal.

As the OS on this device is stock android, the overall RAM management is a complete killer. You won’t see any apps getting killed automatically. Furthermore, the Audio is very clean and crisp. I’m in love with the audio quality of this phone and I can say, it can easily beat any smartphone at this price point when it comes to audio.

It comes with a 3080 mAh battery which seems to be very less compared to other smartphones. However, it lasts up to 1 full working day giving you 6 hours of screen time.

The Fingerprint sensor is very accurate. However, it’s not the fastest at this price point. Also, there is no fast charging support available on this device. The charging is not super slow, and it takes almost one hr 45 mins to charge it from 0 to 100 percent.

The phone is running on Android Oreo, and it’s expected to get an update of Android P. One thing to notice here is, this phone has no NFC support.

Overall it’s a beast considering the price point at 13,499/-

Cons

Honor 9 Lite

  • 3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 256 GB
  • 5.6 inch Full HD+ Display 1080p
  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 13 MP Front Camera
  • 3000 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device

Honor is pushing their game hard in the price range of 10000-15000 rupees phone and Honor 9 Lite is the outcome from this range.

Honor 9 lite looks stunning and have premium build-quality with a glass back design. The device sports 5.65” inch screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio having a bezel-less display. The phone is easy to hold in a single hand. Although, having a top-notch build quality due to its glass back the phone is fragile and having a case would be a good option to have.

With an 18:9 aspect ratio you get a 2.5D glass. Nothing is mentioned whether it’s a Gorilla glass or a normal glass. As the previous devices of Honor don’t have a Gorilla glass, I think the Honor 9 Lite is no exception and you should get a tempered glass for your phone.

Coming to the specs, the phone powered by 2.36 GHz Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor out of the box with 3 or 4GB RAM depending on the variant you choose. It can handle all your daily usage pretty well, however, I saw minor frame drops while playing some heavy games. If you are a gaming freak then you need to look for a different choice.

Honor hasn’t missed out on any sensors considering the price point. The phone runs on Android Oreo out of the box, and I don’t know whether it will be getting future updates or not.

It has one stereo speaker, and the overall Audio quality is good but not the best when compared to Mi A1. The fingerprint sensor is very responsive but again not the fastest like the Oneplus or Lenovo devices.

Coming to the camera, it has the best camera in the price range of under 15000/- The front camera shots are simply amazing. If you love taking photos go for this device without any doubt. Also, it has hybrid SIM support meaning you won’t get a dedicated MicroSD card.

Regarding the RAM management, it's very aggressive, and you’ll notice every 3rd or 4th application reloading. Maybe that’s because they are trying to increase the overall battery performance. The battery on this phone is 3000 mAh and can pretty much last for a whole day. In our testing it gave around 4hr 30 mins of screen time.

For camera lovers, this phone is for you at just 10999/-

Pros

Cons

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display 1080p
  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 5 MP Front Camera
  • 4100 mAh Battery
  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 128 GB
  • Dual Sim Device

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the successor of the Redmi Note 3 which had a terrible camera. Keeping that in mind the company has improved a lot regarding camera performance with this device.

The phone comes with a 5.5” inch 1080p Full HD display out of the box. The build quality is solid, and you’ll get a good in-hand feel with this device. However, the metal body is kind of slippery, and I recommend getting a case for the device so incase you drop it the device will still be safe.

Having the latest Snapdragon 625 and 4GB of RAM the phone handles all the tasks with a breeze. Even after playing heavy games on this device I haven’t noticed any considerable lag.

Also, the fingerprint scanner on this device is very responsive and reliable. Please note that the Fingerprint scanner is located at the back of the camera.

The catchy point about this device is the battery. The phone sports a 4100 mAh battery lasting almost for two days if you are a normal user for heavy users it still lasts for around 1.5 days easily. On a full-charge, we got almost 7 hours of on-screen time which I believe is completely insane.

Overall I liked the device. However, here are few things which I didn’t like and think can be improved. The phone doesn’t support any quick charging support which in my opinion is outdated now.

The speakers on this phone are not that loud. Keep that in mind, if you are away from the phone chances are you might miss your call. No doubt, the camera has been improved, but it performs horribly in Artificial lighting. And I must say it doesn’t have the best camera compared to the other devices mentioned in the list.

So, if you love playing games and bigger battery life this phone is a life saver for you at just 11999/-

Pros

Lenovo K8 Note

  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display 1080p
  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 13 MP Front Camera
  • 4000 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 128 GB

The Lenovo K8 Note has been launched after the Lenovo K6 Note which was sold in the offline markets only.

The phone sports a 5.5” Inch 1080p Full HD Display which overall produces good color reproduction and better viewing angles.

The best thing about this phone is the dual camera setup. The rear camera has a 13 MP and a 5 MP camera which is good if you love to capture bokeh or depth effect photos. However, the camera doesn’t perform the best in low lighting conditions. Regarding the front camera, it has a 13MP shooter and takes clean and sharp photos in the day time. Nevertheless, the front camera will disappoint you in the low lighting conditions.

The Lenovo K8 Note comes with an Helio X23 Processor out of the box which is powerful than the Snapdragon 625 chipset. As the Helio X23 Processor is not highly optimized compared to the Snapdragon 625, you’ll see an average battery performance on this device. However, you don’t need to worry about the battery life much as it comes with a 4000 mAh battery. So overall battery won’t be an issue.

The build quality of this device is top-notch as the device comes with chamfered edges and have 2.5D glass on it. The fingerprint sensor on this device is very fast and highly accurate. The phone comes with Android 7.0 out of the box and expected to get an Android 8 update soon.

One thing to notice here is, the device comes with a dedicated MicroSD slot so you don’t need to worry about the storage as it can be expanded to 128GB.

The phone is available in 2 variants one with the 32GB with 3GB RAM and the 64GB with 4GB RAM. The overall price difference between the 2 is only 1000/- so I recommend going with the 64GB version.

Overall the device is good if you love to take crisp photos and are a photography maniac. However, if you are a heavy user, this phone is not made for you.

Lenovo P2

  • 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED Display
  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 5 MP Front Camera
  • 5100 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 128 GB

The Lenovo P2 is a powerhouse in itself. Having a 5100 mAh battery makes it our top pick from the list. Furthermore, the device is just 8mm think astoundingly even if having a thick battery placed in it. I must say they have done a great job with the overall build quality of the phone.

The other attraction of this device is it sports a 5.5” Inch Full Amoled Display. I think this a crazy deal for anyone who loves to have a good screen with bigger battery life. You can’t get a better deal than this device.

The device has Snapdragon 625 with 3GB RAM out of the box. As the processor is very highly optimized and is made for performance plus it also has a 5100 mAh battery so even if you are a heavy user the battery life will easily last for two days on a single charge.

The phone supports fast charging and has a very active fingerprint scanner which is fast and reliable. You can get 80 percent charge in less than an hour easily, but the remaining 20 percent takes more time to charge the device completely to 100 percent.

It also has NFC Support and a loudspeaker. I think they have tried covering everything which a normal user is looking for in a budget oriented device. However, one thing I didn’t like about the device is the Camera. Yes, the camera on this device is okay and not the best in class. And one more thing is, the phone comes with a hybrid SIM slot meaning you won’t get a dedicated MicroSD card with this device.

Overall, the device is a beast and my personal favourite as I love AMOLED screen with big battery life and this is the best I can get at 14990/-. If you are searching for the best camera then may be the looking for Honor devices.

Honor 7x

  • 5.9 inch 2160x1080p FHD+
  • 16 MP Primary Camera | 8 MP Front Camera
  • 3340 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 256 GB

Honor devices are known for its camera and the build quality of the device. The Honor 7x comes with a 5.93” Inch Full HD Plus Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio out of the box. Again this is a bezel-less phone by Huawei. The viewing angles are clean, and the screen is very bright on this device.

Talking about the build-quality, again it feels very premium holding this device in hands. It can be easily handled with one hand. The fingerprint is very responsive and highly accurate. In 99 percent cases, the fingerprint will work in the first attempt.

Regarding the battery, the phone has a 3340 mAh battery. Overall the battery life is good, and in our experiment, it gave around 5 hrs 30 mins of screen on time.

The hardware inside the device is a Kirin 559 SOC with 4 A53 cores. The processor performance is considerably good, but while experimenting with heavy games, we do notice minor frame drops on full graphics. If you are a gaming maniac than you need to look out for other options.

Having a dual camera setup, we felt that compared to rear camera the front camera on this device is more powerful. In fact, the front camera is the best from the full list. However, the rear camera is not up to the mark.

The RAM management on this device is done right, and it can handle multiple apps very smoothly.

I am surprised that the device doesn’t come with a fast charger capacity which is kind of weird in my opinion. Overall if you are looking for a big Full HD screen and a premium look device than I’d suggest you to go with Honor 7x. It costs you just 12999/-

Pros

  • check
    Full HD Plus Display
  • check

Nokia 6

  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display 1080p
  • 16 MP Primary Camera | 8 MP Front Camera
  • 3000 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 128 GB

Nokia is back in the business with a blast. The Nokia 6 is the first Android device they have launched after their come back. Talking about the phone, as Nokia is known for its durability the Nokia 6 is no exception. It is one of the toughest and best-built phone among all the ten phones under 15000 listed here.

Regarding screen, it sports a 5.5” inch 1080p Full HD Display and has some amazing viewing angles plus the screen is very bright and you can easily read your messages in the sunlight. Nokia is using their OS for the device however it’s almost similar to the Google OS. So, you won’t face any serious problem if you are shifting from stock android.

The phone comes with a Dual SIM and supports 4G VoLTE. It has good loud speakers, and you totally would agree with me after taking a hands-on feel to it.

The processor that comes with this device is the Snapdragon 430 chipset with a 3GB RAM. Regarding specs its quiet good considering the price point but here I am concerned about the Snapdragon 430 as it is an entry level chipset for any budget phones.

As they are using mediocre processor, we did notice a bit of lag in the UI and also while playing heavy games we did notice a major lag in games. So, definitely, this is not a gaming device. RAM management is also not the best in class.

The device lacks fast charging support, and it will take you more than 2 hours of charging. I love the camera of this phone its good and produces good color accuracy photos. The front camera is much better than the rear camera. You’ll, however, notice a noise in images in low lighting condition.

Overall, this device is built for the ones who really want a rock solid phone and never breaks even after falling 100 times. If you love Nokia for what they are known for since ages than go with this device.

I think the phone is quite expensive at 14999/- considering the specs they are offering.

Pros

Moto G

  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display 1080p
  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 8 MP Front Camera
  • 3000 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 4 GB RAM | 64 GB ROM | MicroSD upto 128 GB

The Moto G5S is the successor version of the Moto G5. All the things from screen size to the camera has been improved in the Moto G5S which is incredibly amazing.

Talking about the screen size, the phone comes with a 5.5” inch 1080p Full HD Display with sharp edges and viewing angles. The screen is very bright and produces good colors compared to the Moto G5 screen which was 5.2” inch out of the box.

Regarding camera, it has one of the best cameras in this segments and gives a tough competition to the Honor 9 Lite’s camera. The front camera is an 8MP shooter, and the rear has a dual camera both having the 13MP shooter. To my surprise, it even performed very well in the low lighting conditions.

The fingerprint scanner is again one of the fastest in this price segment and very accurate too. It works almost in all the cases. Regarding the processor, this device has hardware of Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4GB RAM which makes it the best to handle almost any heavy games out there.

In terms of the overall build, it has a metal body and feels quite good in hands. The battery on this device is 3000 mAh which can last up to one day on a single charge considering the normal usage. Moreover, it also supports fast charging so even if it has 3000 mAh battery power won’t be an issue for this device.

Overall. Moto G5 is a complete package in this price segment, and I recommend you this device if you are looking for high performance and also for capturing good photos. Blindly go with the Moto G5S. It’s the best you can get in 14999/-

CoolPad Cool 1

  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 8 MP Front Camera
  • 4000 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 4 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM

The Coolpad Cool 1 is a collaboration between Coolpad and LeEco company. The phone uses LeEco custom UI and comes with a metal unibody. The overall feel of the device is high-quality and feels very sneaky in hands.

The hardware on this phone comes with a Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset with a 4GB RAM which makes it a complete beast in terms of specifications in the price segment. However, when we tried playing heavy games like the Asphalt 8 and Nova 3 on this device we were shocked with the results. The phone started picking up the heat even after just 10 minutes of intensive gaming. I was not expecting this. I hope they solve this issue with a quick software update.

Talking about the camera, it has a rear 13MP shooter and an 8MP shooter at the front. The photos shot on this device is crystal clean and very sharp. I really liked the camera on this device. In fact, Coolpad has not even missed out on sensors the phone consists of all the necessary sensors.

Another thing which kept me in shock is the phone is limited to 32GB of storage, and you cannot expand more which I believe is very outdated in today’s competition. At least, they should have given a MicroSD slot to this device.

The Coolpad Cool 1 has a battery life of 4060 mAh, but unluckily there is no fast charging support available on this device one more shocking factor in the list.

Overall the phone is good for those who love to take crisp and high-resolution photos on their device. If you are heavy user or loves fast charging I highly recommend you to not opt-in for this phone.

Samsung Galaxy On7

  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display 1080p
  • 13 MP Primary Camera | 8 MP Front Camera
  • 3300 mAh Battery
  • Dual Sim Device
  • 4 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM

And the last phone for today we have the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime which comes with a 5.5” Inch FHD Display out of the box.

Both the front and the back cameras are a 13MP shooter, and photo quality on this device is good so far. We haven’t tried it much as it’s a new device while writing the review. I will update the post once we test the camera completely.

The phones come with the Exynos 7870 processor which I know is outdated and Samsung used to use this processor two years back. I don’t know why they are actually trying to sell this phone. Regarding the RAM it comes with the 4GB RAM with Android 7.1 out of the box, and I hope we get an update of Android Oreo on this.

The battery is a 3300 mAh Lithium-ion battery which can easily last for a day on a single charge. In case you are a very heavy user then you might consider charging the device twice.

On7 Prime has Dual sim support and has a dedicated MicroSD card support which can be expanded to 256GB storage which is a good thing. The device also has the VoLTE support. By the way, the internal storage of this device is 64GB which comes at 14990/-. The other variant is the 32GB storage which comes at 12990/-

I would only recommend you this device if you are a real fan of Samsung devices because I am not impressed with the processor they have used on this device.
